You are not invisible. You are not alone.
If you’re a spousal caregiver—exhausted, overwhelmed, and quietly carrying more than most will ever know—this guided study is for you.
In You Are Not Alone, author and former caregiver Linda Waltersdorf Cobourn walks alongside you with honesty, wisdom, and grace. Through personal stories, thoughtful reflection, and deep encouragement from Scripture, Linda invites you to discover what it means to be sheltered under the wings of a faithful God. Each chapter offers:
-
A verse from Psalm 91 to anchor your day

A real-life caregiving reflection that won’t sugarcoat the struggle
-
Scripture-based insights to renew your heart
-
Gentle questions to help you process your journey
-
A short prayer to help you rest in God’s care
Whether you are just stepping into the caregiving role or have walked it for many years, this book will remind you of the unshakable truth:
You are seen. You are loved. You are carried—one step at a time.
Linda Cobourn
You’re carrying a story — maybe heavy, maybe holy, maybe still unfolding. Here, you don’t have to rush it. I offer gentle words for the journey, drawn from my own seasons of caregiving, loss, faith, and quiet courage. My hope is that as you read, you’ll feel seen, steadied, and a little less alone. You’re welcome to rest here awhile.
A story shaped by caregiving, teaching, and the quiet faithfulness of God
My story has been written in the long, ordinary, holy places—hospital rooms, classrooms, waiting rooms, and the quiet corners of home where caregiving and prayer meet. For many years I cared for my husband through his long illness, learning the slow, sacred rhythm of tending to someone you love. Those years taught me how grief and grace can live in the same room, how strength can look like gentleness, and how God meets us in the places we never would have chosen.
I am also the mother of an autistic adult son whose journey continues to shape my own. Parenting him into adulthood has been one of my greatest teachers—inviting me into deeper patience, deeper advocacy, and deeper joy. His way of seeing the world has widened mine, and together we continue to navigate grief, growth, and the everyday courage of building a life after loss.
Before and during all of this, I spent 37 years as a teacher—guiding students, mentoring writers, and creating spaces where people could discover their voice. Teaching was never just a job for me; it was ministry, community, and calling. The classroom taught me how to listen beneath the surface, how to nurture potential, and how to believe in slow, steady transformation.
These threads—caregiving, parenting, teaching—have woven the heart of my writing. I write for caregivers, grievers, and anyone who needs a gentle reminder that they are not alone. My hope is that my words offer companionship, comfort, and a small light for the next step of the journey.

Under His Wings
Caring for a spouse is one of the most tender and exhausting journeys a person can walk. It reshapes your days, your energy, your identity, and your heart. Under His Wings was created to give you a quiet place to rest — a gentle companion for the moments when you need comfort, clarity, or simply a breath of peace.
Rooted in the promises of Psalm 91, this journal offers space to reflect, pray, and notice God’s presence in the middle of your caregiving story.
